Good Monthly Magazine - Too Expensive (2006-05-17)
This is a magazine that has good stories based on the Indian Culture and traditions. Alas, it is too expensive at a fee of $45 a month to be able to subscribeGreat magazine with social values (2006-03-18)
It is one of those magazines which has brought awareness in India’s middle class. It has continuously tried to educate people against prejudice, superstition, etc. Its content is a mixture of articles on social values, family oriented stories, film and product review and a very strong editorial.

I read this magazine when I was a child. It was a great family magazine although it is listed as women’s magazine. It carries a story called ‘Sarita Bees Saal Pehle’ in which they reprint a story that was first published 20 years ago. This gives a good recap of social values 20 years ago.

Whenever I go to India I load up on current and old issues of this magazine. I wish it could be made available at a reasonable price in the USA.
