Ameriska Domovina a great Slovenian communication piece (2008-01-25)
Ameriska Domovina, published continuously for over 110 yrs in Cleveland, is a key communication medium for Slovenians all over the world, not just in the US and Canada. Half of the edition is in Slovenian and half in English, focusing on current events v stari kraj as well as in the “American Home” for emigres from Slovenija. There is a balance of local events and people news as well as philosophical discussions over the brazen and wanton destruction communism had on Slovenija, unfortunately it has uncritically accepted Slovenija’s role in a secular Europe, currently as rotating head of the EU, a body that is increasingly hostile to Christianity, especially things Catholic. Slovenija is nominally 80% Catholic.
